In early 2012 Meriwether acquired over an acre of partially developed infill land within the Steamboat Resort base village in an off-market REO transaction from a deeply distressed local bank. Meriwether has successfully reconceived and re-entitled the first phase of a planned three phase, $30 MM development. Meriwether will commence construction on the first phase of this project in the spring of 2014 with some of the most innovative product in the marketplace; a revisioning of on-mountain living into single-story townhome units that allow for convenient accessibility, sweeping views and appeal to both families and baby boomers alike. Upon completion of the first phase, Meriwether took the opportunity to sell the remaining land to local developers.
